This iPod has a white face plate with a gray click wheel just below the screen. Modeled after the 4th Generation iPod, the U2 iPod is a special edition with a 20GB hard drive. The U2 Version iPod can be identified by its black plastic front case, red click wheel, and signatures of the U2 band members engraved on the back.

1st and 2nd Generation Mini (Use the mini inPODnito™)
Smaller than the 1st - 4th Generation iPods, these little guys come with a sleek color aluminum case. Both generations have a click wheel, although the 2nd Generation Mini click wheel has color coordinated icons to match the case color. Also the 2nd Generation Mini has the hard drive size etched on the back, either "4GB" or "6GB", the 1st Generation does not.

This iPod has an all white face plate with 4 buttons aligned horizontally below the screen and a touch wheel below the buttons.

These iPods can be identified by their scroll wheels and controls (Play, Menu, Next, Previous) appear in a circle around the wheel. Although very similar, the 2nd Generation iPod's scroll wheel does not physically move.
